I just recently went with our troop on a camping trip. I admired their energy to keep plugging along, and how they got their second wind of energy after their little break downs.
How they said things that would make you laugh. Then how they can also said things that could hurt feelings. As I step back in admiration; I have to wonder is this how God sees us? His children?
He must watch us as we tackle life with great energy then run into a rut where we need Him and have a break down. Then after we endure with His help get our second wind of energy.
Watch us as we learn to discipline our tongues to say good and spread good instead of bad and cutting words and spreading evil.
I am so inspired by these little miracles of joy and thankful for the opportunity to be blessed to go with them on this experience. I just wanted to share with you all. Have a wonderful day!

Parting of the Red Sea craft.
We did this craft the other Sunday for our 3 and 4 year old class room.
We colored the center with a brown crayon and taped over it. Then we gave the kids some blue finger paint and let them feel the wet paint as they painted all over the paper. When they finished and cleaned up; we told the kids each time we removed the tape and they walked on dry land and let them feel the center of the paper. I only wish I had put the verse and their name on before they started painting though.
Exodus 14:29 "God's people went through the Red Sea on dry ground."

ASL (American Sign Language)
I have been going to some ASL classes, and they are amazing. I one day hope to be an interpreter. I asked my teacher last night how long does it take to become an interpreter? He told me about 2 to 3 years to get a degree and then you have to take a test. There is an advanced test but there are several portions to the test sort of similar to chapters. I have been interested in this language ever since I saw it on Sesame Street with Linda who is deaf. They taught the alphabet in sign language and it has stuck on me ever since. Who knows maybe this is another way God can use me in more ways.

Three and four year old class
Yes, I said three and four year old class.
Yesterday was my very first time teaching this age group in Sunday school. I had no idea what I was in store for. I have another person helping teach the class so I am not in the class all by myself.
She had taught this age group before but not at our church. In a sense we were both new to these students. Luckily, the children's ministry director had a lesson for us to follow including some of the props. We taught the story of Ruth.
It gave me an idea on what to prepare for when we teach again in five weeks.
I am so glad that God provided everything I needed as He always does!

Summer Learning Program
So the kids got out of school last Friday, and I have been trying to develop a Summer learning program to keep their little brains thinking all Summer.
The idea is that when they go back to school in the Fall; they will not be so behind that they have to play catch up for the first month or so of school.
I am instilling some reading, writing, math, and extra learning into my program.
If you are reading this and have any extra ideas for my Summer project . . . please don't hesitate to comment and let me know.

An encourging word from Hebrews.
Hebrews 13:5-9
Make sure that your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, "I WILL NEVER DESERT YOU, NOR WILL I EVER FORSAKE YOU," 6 so that we confidently say, "THE LORD IS MY HELPER, I WILL NOT BE AFRAID. WHAT WILL MAN DO TO ME?" 7 Remember those who led you, who spoke the word of God to you; and considering the result of their conduct, imitate their faith. 8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. 9 Do not be carried away by varied and strange teachings; for it is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace, not by foods, through which those who were so occupied were not benefited.
I just thought I would share what I read today. May God bless you all.
